If you are having any trouble loading these pages, or if certain parts of any given page appear to be wonky, or if you get any error messages while going through this site, please contact the webmaster. You will receive a reply within 24 hours.

We really wish that the web was perfect. Unfortunately, despite its promise, the medium can fall a little short in its performance, and some users can be tricked into thinking they are doing something wrong. This isn't always the case.

Here are a few browsing tips to help make your time with us a little more pleasant:

  • although web pages are all quite small (a few kilobytes at most), that's still a fair bit of information being stuffed down a telephone wire. On top of that, the server hosting the site you want to get to might be having an off day -- sluggish or in the middle of crashing -- or just overloaded with traffic. If you experience something similar here, it's because thousands of other people are looking at our site right now.

  • a page might freeze in the middle of loading. It's a common, and annoying, feature of the medium. Be patient and click refresh (reload) at the top of your browser window.

  • no two browsers handle web pages in exactly the same way. Internet Explorer 5 and Netscape 4 are the current browsers for which most sites are made. Each browser handles things differently, such as tables, image and type rendering. This site is best viewed in either Netscape 4 or MSIE 5.

  • if you click on a button and an error message comes up (such as page not found), it might be either a server hiccup or us.

  • you'll notice this site loads much faster the second time instead of the first. After you visit this site once, the images are stored in your system's cache.
